First time I’ve tried a new Columbia product in awhile. I typically go with the Newton ridge but I decided to give these a try. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 for no other reason then these took a few days to ‘break in’ where the newton ridges don’t have any break in time. Now that I’ve been suing them for over a week they are perfect and super comfy. Same great quality as other hiking boots and I like that these have a bit more of a ‘heel’ affect as I use them when I ride my horses. The tread is a bit more aggressive then the newtons ridges as well which isn’t a bad thing
