These hiking boots seem well-made, but are snug. I normally wear a 7ww (7E), but since Colombia does not offer double wide boots, I went up to a 7.5 wide. The boots were still snug across the widest part of my foot especially when wearing thicker socks. I do like the deep tread on the bottom, and they seem to provide good ankle support, though they are a bit heavy. That said, the snugness is the biggest challenge I am trying to overcome before determining whether to return.

Q: On your web, the women’s newton wander in black teal looks less black (more like grey black) than the same boot in black purple under the “New Colors” heading (but not available in my size).. Am I correct?
