This is a well-made jacket. I purchased 1 size larger because I will be wearing a base layer, sweater, fleece and possibly a vest underneath for a trip to Iceland. The length provides excellent coverage and the cords and velcro allow for sealing of openings. Pockets are deep and functional. Too soon to report on its performance but I am very happy with the purchase

This is a nice fitting light rain jacket. The color is a beautiful taupe. The one negative is the front zip area has Velcro strips which snag clothing and wear unevenly. Snaps or just the zipper would be preferable.

Q: Mine came with a really, really strong smell. I've been airing it out the whole 2 months I've had it, but so far no improvement. Will the smell eventually fade? I'd like to avoid washing it to maximize the lifespan of the water repellency if possible.
