Wide feels like a normal width

I wear a 9 1/2 wide and that is what I ordered in this hiking boot. The width feels tight and my left small toe is in agony wearing these for a short period of time. If you order these and wear wide, you need to order extra wide. I will be returning these.

These boots are super comfortable, lightweight, and truly waterproof. I use them as my barn boots, so they get worked extensively, even in the rain. I've had them for about a month now, and zero issues. The only thing I don't like is the super long shoelaces, but they were easy enough to replace.
