This is very comfortable, but no matter how tight you cinch the hood, there is a huge gap between the chin and front. Unless you have an enormous jaw and thick beard (this is a woman’s jacket), you will have water pouring into the front down your chest. Zippers are subpar, but the quality otherwise seems ok. 1 star because it can’t do its one primary function well. An extra toggle at the chin would have solved this.
I was looking for a jacket for a trip to the Canadian Maritimes where the weather is mostly windy and rainy and also for rainy days in Montreal. I liked that this one is packable and has underarm zippers for ventilation and it also seemed a bit more durable than some other options I looked at. I usually wear a size L, but went with an XL so I could comfortably layer underneath without it feeling tight. So far I’m happy with it and the colour looks really nice in person.
