I bought these for an 11-day hiking trip in Norway because my Merrill’s can be heavy. Well, I never wore my Merrill’s (autocorrect keeps changing spelling) because these were exceptional. The hikes were 10 miles long on rugged and varied terrain - through mud and streams - I never got wet. The only thing I changed was adding an insole for my delicate feet and high arches. I did five miles to test them and the cushioning wasn’t enough for me. Anyway - great boot - no slipping, good traction, no twisted ankles.

Very comfortable and required no break in. They do run a little warm since they’re waterproof, but not uncomfortably so. I have wide feet and sized up a half size and got the wide sizing to ensure I had enough room.
