I wanted to love this jacket, but ended up returning due to the feel of the under arm zippers. They are so stiff that you feel the curve of the zipper in your arm pit when your arms are at your sides. Otherwise, I love the length and the hood functionality. Also wish it had an exterior chest pocket.
I’ve been through 2 rain jackets that worked sub par for me. I just wore this on a 5 hiking trip through Iceland and I am more than happy to finally have a quality rain jacket that keeps me dry. My only quibble would be the hood drawstrings are difficult to use with gloves on.

A: Great question! Designed as a Shell, this jacket does not include any warming technologies or insulation. We recommend layering appropriately in colder climates.

A: Great question! While the 100% Nylon 3L shell material can have a slicker feel to it due to the high powered waterproof protection, any noise should be minimal to non existent when the fabric interacts with itself. Hope this helps,
