Almost as great as the Men's version
I am 5'10" and athletic 160#, bought the size large, my usual. Fit is good with just a base layer under it. It would be snug with a puffy or second layer under it, particularly in the arms - opening the venting helps in shoulder area. Designers always think women's arms should be sticks, mine are muscular. Perhaps I should give up on buying women's, but then I do have glutes too, so the flared cut in hips helps. My husband has the men's version and his has a hanging loop inside the back of neck (why not the women's?). I miss it every time I hang it by the door and it falls on the floor, thanks a lot rain coat designer. The hood is roomy enough without a helmet and has enough adjustments to work well, a brimmed visor or cap keeps it out of your face well and off your glasses if you wear them. I wish the pull-cords at my cheeks had a stow-away garage or something to keep the loops out of my face when pulled tight, quite annoying. Tip, it's possible to tediously thread the loops back through the pulled cord to keep it back but it has to be done each time you adjust the cords. The material feels quite durable with a slight stretch that helps. It has held up to minor encounters with sage brush branches while hiking and being shoved and yanked in and out of packs. I haven't had it out on major treks yet. Light enough I'd carry it backpacking (I'm not an UL backpacker but not looking to go crazy with extras either), along with the pants which I also bought, which also suffer from the slight snugness in my sizing but fit acceptably with a base layer. I hope this Out-Dry concept sticks around. Definitely lighter than the other 3L options and better than my previous 2L and 2L+ which always fail eventually. I have not had this jacket in a down pour yet. My husband has worn his set in steady rain backpacking and it worked well for him, while my old DWR 2L+ OG Marmot set failed. Optimistic for the same with for me with this new set. Please consider improving the feature set for the women's version and perhaps making it a smidge roomier. I'm not looking to be figure-conscious in the wilderness. I prioritize movement and flexibility.
Yes, I recommend this product.
