I have 'Sasquatch' feet so I was thrilled to find that they had my size since I have been disappointed before by other brands. And then I was even more thrilled to receive and test out the shoes once they arrived. These felt extremely comfortable right from the get-go and after going on a hike with them, there was no change in the comfort. I wore them when it was moist out and found that they were indeed impervious to the wet grasses I wore them through. I had already heard from another person that Columbia shoes were the best - and that person literally walked around the world in them. He was not wrong.

For my C-D width forefoot & toes these are just a bit too narrow. I love so much about this shoe - it actually has softer cushion & rubbery lugs that take up shock. The tongue is generous, not short & irritating to my ankle tops. My design criticism is there should be about 3mm less in the chunky heels and that much more in the forefoot - less heel drop, more cushion under the whole front half of the feet. These are SO much better than any other Columbia hiking shoe or boot, as far as comfort & flexibility.
