Waterproof not shoes

I replaced a pair of Columbia shoes that were very similar to these that were advertised as waterproof...not water resilient but yes waterproof. I wore them for 3 weeks and loved them and the fact that the morning dew that i walked in did not soak my sosks was great. But after 3 weeks my feet were wet. And the company said it was a warranty thing and replaced my shoes with these. They said maybe it was bad fabric or construction but these were waterproof. Well today i have wet feet again So do i give up on Columbia???
