The design of the pockets has changed and the old design was far better. The cargo pockets are smaller and the one on the left leg is not only much smaller, but now the zipper is vertical on the side of the pocket. The old design with a horizontal zipper at the top of the pocket was far more useful. I do not know if I will bother to buy these pants again if the new design is retained in the future.
I was looking for zip-off cargo pants, like the World Wide Sportsman ones I used to buy from Bass Pro. I wanted them to be: a light color so I can easily spot ticks; light weight, non-stretch, sun-proof, quick-dry fabric; have angled, side entry pockets; large belt loops. I like these with their light tan rip-stop fabric, but would prefer light gray. These are about an inch longer than expected. They come with a flimsy belt that I don't like or need. The $80 price is excessive.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Fit runs tight. Drying is good, however it is not at all water repellant. Any liquid leaves a dark spot. I thought I was ordering nylon material but it is polyester that does not repel moisture. I would not recommend this product.
Light weight thin material perfect for the hotter days when you still want sun protection. Would buy again, but they are out.
