I was replacing an almost identical jacket from LL Bean that was way too expensive. This is actually a much better product hands down. It is a few inches longer than what my husband likes, but the side ties pulled slightly made length exactly where he likes. This product is warmer and much better material, styles and fill were about identical. So much better than other brands!

The Slope Edge jacket seemed well-made with good strong zippers. This jacket runs significantly larger and longer than other Columbia XL jackets that I have purchased. It would be good for very cold weather when you would want to layer it over other heavy clothing, but it was too large for my needs and I returned it. I might have exchanged it for a Large, but that size was not available at the time.
