Q: Can the hood be hidden in the collar somewhere? If so, how do you do it? What is the p urpose of the velcro flap on the back of the hood?

A: Great questions! The hood is unable to be packed or stowed away into the collar. The Velcro strap provides an adjustable fit, pertaining to where the hood sits on your head/face. Tightening the strap will result in the hood sitting above and out of the face.
