My son has had multiple Columbia coats that have lasted through years of rough play. This coat didn't make it a week before it ripped once, then two more times before the first month of wear was up. Extremely disappointing and not what I would expect from Columbia. I wish it would have held up, it is a nice looking coat and keeps my son warm.
I purchase a Powder Lite II jacket for my son and daughter every year. The omni-heat inside this coat makes it a perfect choice for fall, winter and spring in Wisconsin. My young children run around at recess a lot and this thin coat is their go-to most of the time. They only want their full winter coats when it's below zero. These coats take a lot of abuse and wash well.
