I’m from Northern California, so I’ve honestly never had a real reason to own a long down jacket like this. But I was traveling to New York this winter, right after they had a big snowstorm, so I knew I needed to be prepared for serious cold weather. Let me just say that his was the best investment I made for that trip. This jacket kept me warm. The insulation is amazing without feeling heavy. I usually wear a size Large, but I’m currently expecting, and I was a little worried it might feel too tight or too baggy. But 1X was perfect. It comfortably covered my bump without looking oversized. The waist area had just the right amount of room, and the sleeves weren’t too long (which can sometimes happen with larger sizes). Also, I’m 5’7” and the length hit a little below my knee, which was ideal for extra warmth while still being easy to walk in.
