Five stars simply aren't enough for the PFG Tidal Deflector™ Zero Hoodie. This is my fifth shirt of this style, and I honestly cannot imagine getting through a summer of running without it. I do most of my long runs in Texas heat, often in full sun and temperatures around 90°F. Over time, I've learned that the more I protect my skin from direct sun exposure, the better I perform. Keeping my arms, hands, neck, and upper body covered helps me maintain a more consistent body temperature and reduces the heat stress that comes from prolonged sun exposure. One of the biggest surprises was how much it helped with hand swelling. When I used to run in tank tops with a lot of skin exposed, my hands would swell significantly during long runs. With this hoodie covering my arms and most of my hands, leaving only part of my fingers exposed, I've noticed a dramatic improvement. The cooling effect is what truly makes this shirt special. Once sweat reaches the fabric, even the slightest breeze creates a refreshing cooling sensation. It feels like a cool embrace when you're miles into a long run under a blazing sun, and that relief is priceless. The material is lightweight, comfortable, breathable, and performs exceptionally well during long efforts. Whether I'm running 15, 18, or 20 miles, this shirt has become an essential part of my summer running gear. If you spend hours outdoors in the heat, this shirt is a game changer. I've purchased five of them for a reason. Highly recommended for runners, hikers, and anyone who spends long periods in the summer sun. ☀️🏃♀️💙🌻
