Sleeves not fleece lined like the old version

I have an older version of this jacket and the sleeves were lined. It was perfect lightweight jacket. My son outgrew it so this is the new version, and I was so disappointed that the fleece lining is only on the inside and not in the sleeves! So your arms will feel cold. I think it’s so stupid they didn’t line the sleeves and it feels like Columbia is cutting corners.

I purchased two of these jackets for my son to wear to outdoor preschool. This jacket is NOT at all waterproof, the water does not bead at the surface it is absorbed by the fabric. It is suitable for a walk from the car to the store in the rain, but not for any longer outdoor activity.
