I bought this for my very active 6 year old son. I do not reccomend purchasing these snow pants. The bottoms ripped almost instantly. More importantly, the pants get wet, and do not keep my son dry. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE AS SNOW PANTS. Very disappointed, as Columbia is usually a very good brand.
My son received this snow bib for Christmas. It’s now mid-February and I noticed that the seam is coming apart in four different locations (all 2-4 inches) leaving huge holes in the pants. Not the quality I expect from Columbia.
I have been really happy with these bibs which my son has worn for a season and a half of skiing, tubing, sledding, and playing. We live in the mid-Atlantic and can get some decently cold temps - as long as he's wearing a base layer he never complains about being cold. The outgrow system gave him another 3/4 of a season with them which has been really nice. My 2 complaints are: the lack of pockets and the fact that they have a small rip in them. Why no pockets? If I were trying to reuse these for another kid, I don't think they would hold up to any more seasons.

My daughter basically lived in these when skiing in Colorado. She wore them on the slopes and around town. They were exactly what we were looking for- she never complained of being cold.
