I bought this to replace an older Columbia jacket, and I am so happy I did! I just tried it out on a spring camping trip where the temperature was 3 degrees Celsius and it kept me plenty warm with my wool layers underneath. It's lightweight, packable, and warm. What more could you ask for? Oh, and it was on sale too!

Perfect jacket for me. It’s lightweight but warm and has the hood if needed. The color is a beautiful mint color and I get lots of compliments on it. I love that I can pack it into its own pocket for easy traveling. I use this jacket mainly for hiking

A: Great question! While both technologies are among our Omni- warming tech, they both provide very different functions. For example, Omni-Heat™ Arctic functions via the exterior of the Jacket to channel solar energy and warmth, relocating and distributing it throughout. It does not use body heat. Omni-Heat™ Reflective is a body temperature focused warmth, best designed for non active use as it uses your stable body temperature to regulate heat. This technology does not capture solar warmth.
