I hate this shirt. I'm a farmer in Mississippi, one of the hottest and most humid places in America, and the previous version of this shirt was the best everyday shirt I've ever worn, I've bought over a dozen of them. This new iteration is terrible and worse in almost everyway. The two flap covered, hook and loop pockets that could be opened and resecured with one hand and used for everything were removed. In place of that you get one "sunglasses pocket" that is frustrating to use for everything including sunglasses. You also get a smaller pocket without a flap closure so everything falls out of it when bending over. Both pockets are more difficult to operate often requiring two hands to get closed. The top two buttons are replaced with snaps?? Not all the buttons.. just the top few. Honestly I don't care either way about this but having the buttons change halfway up the front of shirt looks stupid. I don't understand why this happened. I been angry for over a year about it. I actually threw the one I bought in the garbage because I kept accidentally grabbing it out of my closet instead of one of the older versions. I guess I'm going to just wear all the old ones I have till they turn to dust, then find a different brand of shirt. Filson feather light short sleeve is close but its not a breathable. I took the old shirt for granted. I mistakenly assumed that such a great product would be made forever because "why would anyone want to change this for the worse?" I was wrong. An old mentor of mine who passed away a few years back used to keep a storage building on his farm full of tools, supplies, etc he would prob never need. I used to say he was a hoarder. He would respond by saying "if you find something you like, you better buy 100 of them."
Nice cool light fabric, to me the true color looks better than the online image.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Very large for a large... looked ridiculously puffy if tucked in, long and large if untucked. And 6 bucks to return a shirt that IMHO Columbia has made too big.
