Sized correctly but the fabric feels like a wetsuit. I can see myself wearing these for short durations, because they look nice in public, but not for casual time around the house. I couldn’t extricate myself out of these pants fast enough.
Fabric is nice for cool weather. Side pockets on the right leg, one zippered and one not, are a nice feature. The torso fits nicely, but the legs are are snug from just above the knees through the calves.
These are fleece-lined. Nowhere in the description or anywhere else on the item page is this mentioned. I don't want fleece-lined pants, especially in CA. What a waste of energy in shopping not to mention resources in shipping both ways. This was my first Columbia order and likely my last.
Back Beauty High-Rise Pants are very heavy and may work for a winter hike but not for any other season. The rise wasn't as high as expected and the thickness of the fabric makes them less stretchy than I like for activewear.
