Fabric is medium lightweight for multi-season use. The elastic waist has just b-a-r-e-l-y enough give to get over the hips, though once on, the torso portion fits well. The legs are snug from a little above to a little below the knees. Two fit issues mean these will be returned.
These are great pants for fall through spring. Very comfortable and warm. Wash nicely.

I really love these pants. The material, the cut, the nice deep pockets that lie flat, the small zippered pocket--wish there was one on each side!--and the fit. I'm 5'8, 140 lb, and the medium fits me perfectly. I have long legs so bought them in a long, and the length is just right. I haven't worn them yet, but I think they would be perfect for everyday wear and traveling.
