These work great on rock beaches with barnacles. They do let a little bit of sand and shells in, but I don’t think anything short of a wet suit style shoe would stop that entirely. They feel real squishy and kind of shift your weight forward on land, but that seems to actually help them feel really natural and normal when you’re walking around in the water.
