These boots fear no urban winter. Snow, slush, ice—irrelevant. My feet stayed warm, dry, and oddly heroic. The wide fit is legit wide, sizing was spot-on, and they work best with a thin sock unless you’re aiming for full foot-sauna mode. Indoors they run hot—great outside, a little too enthusiastic inside. For boots in this class, they’re surprisingly lightweight, with excellent traction. I crossed icy patches with confidence and zero cartoon-style slipping. Bonus: they look rugged enough that people assume I know how to survive outdoors. Bottom line: Awesome winter boots—warm, dry, lightweight for their category. Just take them off indoors unless you enjoy overheated feet, questionable choices, and self-reflection.

Really happy with these boots. They have good traction in the snow and on ice, and keep my toes warm in the minus twenties. the high boot gives really good ankle support, but can be uncomfortable if sitting in a car with them on for a long time. would definitely buy again.

I spotted this boot after searching for some time for such an item. After my cheap boots from a large hardware chain had cracked everywhere I hoped this might be my go to alternative. The Bugaboot was ordered 1 size larger to ensure that if I needed extra socks I could fit with them and as a just in case. I ordered wide and they met that criteria as well. I placed my order on a Saturday online and the boots arrived on Tuesday. I was blown away as we are in the middle of Eastern ON in a small town. My 1st wear was a delight! They were SNUG! WARM and most of all fitted well and were INCREDIBLY comfortable. I had a drive in the car yesterday for 5 hours and commented to my partner that this was the 1st time in years in the winter when I could actually say my feet were warm such that I did not need the heat blowing on my feet. At the price I paid with the 1st time discount, they are TREMENDOUS VALUE. Having taken the leap, I would buy in at a higher price and hope that I can say the same in 5 years time.

A: Great question! We do recommend sizing up to allow room for socks and if your feet swell during a hike, so it may be worth trying the size 13 to see if that is better for you.
