I bought this jacket to replace a 10-year-old Columbia rain shell that was falling apart. The jacket is as advertised, a decent waterproof breathable shell. It lacks some features I would have liked, like armpit vents and breast pockets. Unfortunately, one seemed to have to choose between a mesh lining or those features. The jacket fits well, though I do notice the sleeves to be a bit tight, especially in the forearms, which is an issue for wearing over fleece inner wear
