Great BUT Something Baffeling

This side bag is great...except..for one thing. I have no idea, currently, as to why the side zipper pouch on the side is not stitched. When you place items there and you go to open the bags main compartment, thus pulling the side closure where the side zipper pouch is, all the items in that said side pouch fall into the upper area that should have been stitched shut. It's very inconvenient and cumbersome when you have anything in that side zipper pouch. As a solution, I, personally, am planning to sew it shut with sewing tape or stick some Velcro on the inside above the zipper line to prevent this from happening.
