Great fit & Fabulous Fabric

I was thrilled to discover these pants. For years, I have owned Columbia pants made out of the same fabric. They lasted for years, and I received many compliments on them. Then Columbia stopped making that style and switched to this one. I like this style even better. I would check the length. I do not like ankle-length pants. I am 5'6" so I ordered the tall. They are the perfect length for me. If you like ankle length just follow Columbia's guidelines.

Q: Are these true to size? Do they have any stetch in the waist? Because I am recommended a size 8 but I wear a size 4 & 6, so if the waist has any stretch I could probably wear a in any of the pants.
