I returned these. They fit oddly. I’m not sure why Columbia doesn’t add elastic to the waists. The legs were too puffy and short. They seemed good quality

fit NOT as pictured- BAGGY

Just received these pants and they do NOT look like the photo. They are wide leg ( which some people say is the trend, but not great on shorter people) and definitely not great for hiking. They completely cover the laces of my size 8.5 shoes, granted these are a size 14, but the leg is 18 inches in circumference at the bottom hem (9" across lying flat) and even more baggy at the top. They definitely are winter weight (warm), nice and stretchy and seem like they'd be durable but not super breathable. Just a terrible baggy, ( and noisy) fit. Very bummed as I thought they'd be great for hiking in fall in Scotland.

I was thrilled to discover these pants. For years, I have owned Columbia pants made out of the same fabric. They lasted for years, and I received many compliments on them. Then Columbia stopped making that style and switched to this one. I like this style even better. I would check the length. I do not like ankle-length pants. I am 5'6" so I ordered the tall. They are the perfect length for me. If you like ankle length just follow Columbia's guidelines.

Q: Are these true to size? Do they have any stetch in the waist? Because I am recommended a size 8 but I wear a size 4 & 6, so if the waist has any stretch I could probably wear a in any of the pants.
