The waist is tight and does not stretch like the rest of the pants do. If you are not a perfect pear shape (small waist, slightly wider hips) then these pants will feel uncomfortable in the waist, especially if you are sitting, bending, or doing anything but standing straight up and stock still. Disappointed because it fit everywhere else and I love the material of the pants.
Nice heavy fabric, wider leg pant. Perfect for hiking in fall weather. Got regular length so they came to the top of my shoe.

I'm 5'4" and purchased regular length so they would touch the top of my shoes. I'm using them for hiking in the Alps in September. They fit perfectly. Very nice quality. The material is heavier fabric perfect for where I am going. I love the wider leg look. You could easily dress them up or down. Great for traveling.

Very cute colors, but a weird cut. The size seems to be correct since the waist fits normally, but from the hip to the mid-leg, the cut has a weirdly widening shape. Then, towards the ankles, it narrows again. My legs disappear inside the pants, it doesn't look like the pictures at all. I have had this problem with other ROC Straight leg pants as well. Will have to return them all.
