Poor quality and a useless warranty.

The hood tightening cord on this jacket shredded after only a few uses. Under Columbia's "Limited Lifetime Warranty" policy, I would have to send the jacket back to them and wait a month or more for them to decide whether they will fix it, provide a credit, or nothing. I'm supposed to send them my winter coat in the middle of winter and do without for a month or more? This coat cost over $200 -- Columbia should do a better job of manufacturing and customer support.

Warm and versatile, exactly what I was looking for in an interchange jacket. A word of warning though, I think Columbia's suggested sizing for this jacket is misleading. They suggested a Large or even Extra Large for me. Thankfully I had a Columbia outlet store nearby and was able to go and try on a Medium, which fit perfectly and even a bit loose. Ymmv but I would not size this jacket up. Because I typically wear a Medium I'm marking it 'true to size' but if I could I would give Columbia's online size picker one star.
