I want to like them but they fall well short

Edit******against my better judgment I decided to do a mountain in these guys as I needed to know if I had something I could use or just cement blocks (these weigh kore then my 800 grak insulated hunting boots). Very bad idea. It was only 3.5 miles with 500 feet elevation gain. Developed shin splints bad. I am not new to mountains. I have 600 something under my belt in the Adirondacks. Most of them bushwhack ones. The lack of cushioning is a serious issue as well for anything other then running to the store. These are pretty worthless. Can't return them. Can't use them for small short walks. I want to love these but can't. The pros....the look sharp. Very sharp. Appear made. Good in the snow (I live in Saranac Lake). The cons.....there is next to no cushion at all. They kill my feet. I needed a shoe that I could explore the woods in, work in. I work outside but alot of times I am standing still not moving. Once you are stationary then that's when the lack o cushion kicks in. And if you ar on concrete/Tarmac your feet and lower back are going to get destroyed. I so want to love these. But need something practical that has multi uses. Wasted $200 as they are not longer returnable as one needs to actually use them in the real world to find out if they are real world worthy. I think the younger kids/generation will have no problem. But at my age and having my body beat up in the infantry in the Army. My feet and back are shot. I need more cushion then most

Good boots till natural wear

Bought this back on 12/05/24 and used it as my main boot for work and outdoor activities for all my fall, winter, and spring needs. Averaging about 30 miles a week. I cleaned the boots often and treated the leather after every salty winter season, but the stitching on the leather near the ball of the foot is going out, leaving the waterproofing failing. A bit saddened by it with the cost, but with them I could have dry feet through every rain or snowstorm.
