Actually perfect for my cats. Just the right size and stays on when fitted correctly.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Design lacks some touches like clips to release the neck area (rather than pulling the harness over the dog’s head) and the abdominal clasp is not sewn onto the padded area of the harness. When my large lab dog pulls, the connector strap slips over the padded portion of the abdomen and is directly in contact with my dog. The harness also slides sideways so the center “ring” for the dog’s lead ends up being on the side of his chest (the entire harness shifts sideways). I bought two sizes for two dogs. Adjusting the size does not fix the problem as the front head portion straps do not adjust enough. The head/front portion is tight; chest area is too loose. So, the harness is not useful if you are buying it in the hopes it will make dog walking easier (at least for a large dog). The harness does work fine for use in tethering my dogs in the car. Not up to usual Columbia standards.
This is a very well designed harness that feels strong but is still lightweight so it won’t make your dog too hot. I have a very small German shepherd, she’s full grown and 38 lbs. Her chest is 26 inches and her neck is 16 inches. Based on the chart I got a large because I also wanted it to be long enough on her back so that the straps wouldn’t be in her armpits. It fits great, it’s a little big on her neck but otherwise perfect. Stays in place when walking and running. Love the bright color too.

A: Great question! While sized and designed for dogs, these can be used across a wide variety of sizes and fits which should accommodate cats in our Small sizes.

A: Thank you for your question! While the specific dimensions of the product aren't designed with a cat body in mind, its support features and heavy duty quality should work well with most house animals. We would recommend a size Small with cats typically being much smaller. Thanks for choosing Columbia!
