I did not find anything that said that it was not dishwasher safe, but when I put it in the dishwasher the opening melted a little and now it leaks if it is tipped over. I wanted to be able to throw this in a bag or purse and I can't now without water getting everywhere.
I've been looking for a smaller water bottle that isn't a child's and can fit in my purse and this was perfect! I love that the lid can be pushed back to stay in place.
