So I haven't had a chance to test them in the cold yet as it's still August in Maine, but this is not my first rodeo. I think 200 gram is the perfect all around weight. It's not so warm that they can't worn inside or during brisk activity. The warmth can be adjusted with sock thickness or air activated hand warmers for those really cold days watching a football game. This is my first pair of boots with the Omni Heat liner so time will tell how much warmer those keep me. The boots themselves are of excellent quality for a $130 msrp. They have a nice, modern look, quality leather upper, 200gram insulation, waterproof/breathable membrane, the Omni Heat liner, and Columbia soles that seem of decent quality and tread pattern. The soles have two built in "jacks" to aid on removal. They actually work really well in combination with the speed laces. They wear like a pair of sneakers and are fairly light for their size. They are actually taller than I thought, probably close to a 10" height. I have wide feet but the rubber lowers are very forgiving. Overall very happy with my purchase and I'm eyeballing the 400g version if I need them for EXTREMELY cold days. Great job Columbia.
Yes, I recommend this product.
