Wow, what a terrible fit. Used the size chart to find my size. They were still too big. But not just that, they fit like one of those half barrels a clown wears with suspenders. A small might be better but I don't see that shape changing. Otherwise, the material was sturdy, and they seem to be good quality.
Far too big on the waist, otherwise would be great shorts. If you don’t have much difference between your hips and waist they’d be fine, but no good for pear or hourglass, even with the adjustable waist.
I'm tall (5'10"), on the upper end of size large after having multiple babies, and I really like how they fit-loose but not baggy, stretchy but hold their shape, durable fabric. The 5" inseam is great and comfortable for all day with thighs that rub together. the pockets are deep and the little zippered pocket fits my phone. Bought multiple pairs.
The fit of these shorts is unflattering and overall poor. The pull on and drawstring is nice, but the waist is small and the hip/thigh area is huge. All the extra material in the front pooches out in an unflattering way. The fabric seems durable. I may keep them for gardening and chores at home but wouldn't want to wear them out and about due to the frumpy fit.
