Cutting costs or just poor design?

Would an extra button have killed you (or your profit margin)? This shirt has 5 buttons down the front placket. As a result, they're spaced wide. Too wide, as there's a nice gap right where my boobs are (they aren't large). I can foresee I'll be constantly checking for that gap, possibly exposing what's beneath. Not a good look...
Shorter length is great

I love this style. The shorter length is comfortable. The split hem at the sides give the hips just a little more room so the shirt doesn’t pull there. The smoother and less plastic-like fabric makes it look a little dressier than the older styles. More colors please!!!
