Heartbreaker

This was a heartbreaker. I have been wanting one of these jackets since the prior Columbia x Disney release- so much so that I had various searches set to attempt to find one on a reselling site. In fact, it was one of those searches- a Google alert- that notified me of the new release. I was so excited to see the jackets available again and placed an order immediately. However, once I had them in hand, they proved disappointing due to overall fit and the design of the ears. I am normally a size small or medium in women's sizing. Since the jackets are unisex, I ordered both a small and medium to try on. The small fit great everywhere except the bust, where it was too tight (and I'm not large busted, just average), and the medium fit well at the bust but was too big everywhere else. And I might have just kept the medium and dealt with the ill fit if not for the ears. I assumed the ears would be made of a thick, bendy material that allows them the flexibility to stand up really well or be stowed within the hood (kind of like the material some hats have that allow the brim to be up or down). However, they are just thin pieces of polyester that flop down. Thus, rather than getting a good mouse ears silhouette, it's just two pieces of lightweight fabric bouncing around, flopped over, on your head. I am really glad I didn't pay above retail for one on a reselling site.
