Great, except snaps are 2 far apart and a bit weak
This is a fantastic shirt-jac with minor caveats. First, I love the 4-pocket design (plus handwarmer pockets), and the pockets are deep enough. The insulation layer is good, and there's enough room underneath for a heavy flannel shirt or whatever similar layers you'd like. The only niggling bit is that the snaps on the front are spaced too far apart. They appear to be about 5" (haven't trekked to the tape measure) but should be about 4" apart to maintain good closure in the front without puckering and allowing wind entry (no storm flap). I'm planning to retrofit mine with buttons spaced between the snaps for total wind-proofing. The Columbia snaps are a little on the weak side, so buttons seem like a great way to go. The snaps gotta snap. The buttons gotta hold. The snaps will just be the low-hold points between the buttons...
