Length good, waist too big

These were for my 14 year old son who is tall and slim. The length was perfect but the waist was too big, especially since it had some elastic give to it. I ordered them based on the size guide. The fit was okay otherwise, though my son prefers a looser fit in the crotch area. He is used to wearing sweats and athletic pants so these were different for sure. I tried them on and really liked them but the length was too long so we had to return them.

Pockets are bad

Pants are fine but the front pockets are terrible . They have no depth so it's very likely anything you put in will eventually fall out. If I put my phone, and it's not a large model, half of it sticks out. I really don't understand this design choice. Having slightly more fabric to make the pockets deeper would have fixed it. Here they are almost horizontal, which makes no sense. The rest is fine, they have some stretch, color is nice. But I will return them as I need to be able to carry a phone in my pocket!
