Cute Pants but run VERY small!

I was SO looking forward to wearing these pants! I ordered in the beautiful Maple Sugar color (may not be available anymore, but it was a burnt orange color). As a short person, I was excited that these wide leg pants were available in a short length, and I confirmed the inseam would work for me. When the pants were delivered I was so pleased with how they looked - lots of nice details, great feel to the fabric, etc. Then I made the rookie mistake that I know better than, but did it anyway...I removed the tags before trying on. Ugh! These pants run SO SMALL! I ordered a 12 short, which should have worked. They are so small that I cannot even get the two sides of the waistband to touch! I would likely have needed to order a 16 or even 18 to be able to wear them. So sad! And mad at myself for removing the tags. I've already dropped them in the local donation bin. Total shame, as the design and material are fantastic, but the sizing - at least in the color I purchased - was WAY off.

Rigid fabric

The fabric is lined, which could be nice, but the outer layer is very thick and rigid. I have jackets made out of such materials They run very small. I wear 14 in Columbia, got a 16, there’s no way I could button it. Felt 2 sizes smaller.

Great quality/ too small

Love the color, quality and style. It was exactly what I wanted, unfortunately the pants run small size. Im usually size 0 or 2, I purchased #2 but fits me tight.

Stylish, windproof, warm, colorful!

The reviews of these trousers really undersell them. I’m tired of the muddy colors most of the clothes are offered in, and I bought the bright blue and red versions of these pants. The wide leg and cropped length are good for me, and I’m 6’1”! There’s a bit of stretch too. Unlike most Columbia clothes these trousers are true to size - maybe a half size small?
