Dress up, not down, for sun protection

I had a short sleeve version packed for a 7 day fishing trip. A buddy gave me his spare long sleeve because we had HOT sun. The shirt and my Columbia sun block pants literally saved my fishing trip. Hottest sun id ever experienced in 50+ years and i was able to fish 8 hours/day thanks to the clothes

Amazing sun coverage yet cooling shirt. Unlike the Men's PFG Tamiami II, the Blood & Guts fabrice used does not pile or run when you get a snag. I have both and the Blood & Guts shirts last much longer and cooler then the Tamiami. It is a shame Columbia has chosen to limit the colors the Blood & Guts shirts come in. I suspect they are more expensive yet sell at the same price as the lower quality Tamiami, which barely last a single fishing or boating season before looking like rags.
