Warm and comfortable

These are warm and well-made. I've used them once so far, so we'll see how they hold up. I really like the gentle curve of the hand shape, which works well with ski poles. I have very short fingers and I do wish I had gotten XS instead of S, even though I measured my hand with a tape measure according to the chart before ordering. But maybe then the mittens would have been too narrow, I don't know. They do seem to be the same size as the large kids' mittens I got my son from Columbia.

Highland summit mittens

These mittens are very high quality, love the blue color and I think would be very warm. I wasn't a fan of the Sherpa lining (I failed to read that in the description). While it will probably keep you warm I prefer a smoother inside. Also wasn't a fan of the Velcro wrist. Those are the two reasons for a 4 rating and I did return so never worn them. I would have kept them otherwise and would recommend if those two things don't bother you.

I am a mitten person. Columbia makes a good one.

I am a mitten person, I just am. When it's cold out I want my fingers together, not in separate silos like a glove (shiver). I've never gone wrong with a Columbia winter product. It's a nice warm mitten.

Terrible wrist strap

The wrist strap mechanism is low quality; I have liked other brands much better. Also, both wrist straps ripped off on the first day I wore them so I c returned them. The touch screen capability is poor. But the warmth and comfort was wonderful.
