Fits great for long sleeve shirts. I wear an XL in most sports wear (sometimes a large in casual clothing) and I sized up to an XXL. I could wear a sweatshirt under it, but it would be a little snugger than I’d prefer. Great length for me because I’m 5’3”

This is my first foray into non-down vests. Columbia's omni-heat has worked well in jackets and insulated pants. I wanted to get this review in to reinforce other reviews addressing the small sizing. First, Columbia, WHY on earth do you have a model w/ a 32" bust and 23" waist modeling a Medium size? I sized up to a medium after paying $6 to return my now usual small that the size guides said would work. The medium fits only because I am flat chested and even then it is snug, wearing over thin base-layer and short-sleeved T. Some like the high collar and some don't. I routinely wear a neckwarmer so I don't care one way or the other, tho I tried zipping it up for the review and THAT was uncomfortable. Pockets are ok but not especially warm. The hips have a little extra room but not too much. I haven't tried in cold weather, but I imagine it will work. Colors (blue and wine) are nice. I am also not happy with the ongoing downward trend in zipper quality. I would gladly pay extra for a robust zipper and zipper pull. They got around the tiny zipper pull by attaching a thin black cord loop to the pull. The price was decent after 2 price reductions ($54) or I might have considered returning them.
