These are supposed to keep you warm but they do the exact opposite! They keep you cold. It feels like you’re wearing pants made of ice, especially the knees. There is a noticeable difference having them on and not having a base layer. I’m warmer with no base layer. It’s sad because I love my Omni-heat coat so I thought these would keep me just as warm, but they keep me cold.

Definitely very good quality but I ordered size M And it's a little bit smaller. I really wish the bottom part to be windproof unfortunately is not. Definitely keep you warm and dry but if you not using special pants I mean windproof pants the feeling is not very pleasant. Anyway for casual use it's amazing if you want to go outside in harsh weather you definitely need special pants or thick pants.

I've been using Columbia's winter gear forever. I'm a big fan of the Omniheat gear and highly recommend it. It works in my opinion and I normally only use this base layer underneath my snowboard bibs that aren't insulated and my legs usually are just fine. I bought a couple of pair before last season and when I first used them, it was with great surprise that there's no fly. Not good when you're on the mountain, trying to stay hydrated and needing to relieve yourself. Based on that alone, I would not recommend this style as a base layer. Columbia, please bring back the fly!
