A good functional pair of gloves for sub-freezing weather
I live in Montana and most of the winter months have been one snow storm after another. We were delighted to have a few days of reprieve from the snow so one sunny day a few of us decided to enjoy the day by hiking. While the snow has subsided somewhat the sub-freezing temperatures remained. At first I thought that my fingers will be cold while hiking so I brought a couple of hand warmers in my backpack. But as I kept moving forward and my body warmed up, my hands and fingers started really warming up as well. I had no need of the hand warmers after all and at some point I ditched the main outer gloves and simply kept the inner liner which was better for flexibility as we scrambled up rocks on a steep incline. At the peak of the hill we climbed my hands were so warm I eventually took them off. I am about 5 feet so I purchased the extra-small pair and they fit me perfectly. This is a good functional pair of gloves for sub-freezing weather. I don't know yet how these gloves will hold up for sub-zero temperatures.
