The point in wearing a style shoe like this is to be sock-less. My girls feet sweat terribly in the shimmer and wearing socks and tennis shoes is not cooling. We want someone to cover her toes while she plays to prevent injury; this were to be considering a reasonable priced shoe to do just that; however, these shoes cause blisters in multiple places. At first it was the ankle area where the strap is located - allowed to heal and tried again, the blister is not on tip of the pinky toes. These shoes are not too big nor small for our daughter. The strap was not too tight. We understand breaking in a new shoe sometimes requires situations like this. I wish it didn’t.

A: Great question - These shoes are not AMPA approved, the sole is soft and has flexibility for walking or running, but is not designed to be bent.
