Failed quality Controll

Loved these shorts for years; they were all I would wear except when extremely cold. But the last 3 pair I purchased the side seams were not sewn correctly and they split up the side. I’m trying to find a replacement, please let me know if y’all correct the problem!

Color shown in picture is WRONG

The color that is pictured is WRONG for the tan looking shorts. I have bought many pairs of these shorts for several years... they have changed the "tan" color to GREEN. In the picture the shorts look tan to a mild brown which is what I wanted. The color listed under this is called 'sage'. However when i received 'em they are GREEN! Go back to the tan color Columbia!

Great short

I really appreciate the short inseam, the front pockets that have velcro zips (I would prefer metal on one; slightly less likely for valuables to fall out), the rear wallet pocket has a zip. All of this makes for great hiking, walking. The fabric does not cling. There are belt loops and expansion bans. And, me peeps have commented on how snazzy I look. At 77 that's quite an accomlishment for something as simple as shorts.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Brewha II Utility pocket issue

Have owned and worn Brewha II shorts for years: they are my all-time favorite short. But, sometime in the last couple years, the elastic top opening dimension of the Utility/Beverage Pocket (which is not specifically identified as such on any pictures) got smaller, so much smaller that my iphone with water-proof case could not fit. I actually had to cut the top elastic to allow my phone to fit (see photo). I reported this at the time of my last purchase (I think from Amazon). I am ready to order another pair or two, but need assurances that the pocket I want to use for my iphone and its waterproof cover will fit. Showing a picture of the pocket with a smartphone with cover fitting into the pocket might convince me, but otherwise, I do not plan on purchasing my favorite shorts again. Yesterday, I contacted Columbia via 800# and talked to rep about it. The email reply I got stated that iphones would comfortably fit into the “side cargo pockets”, but that is not the same pocket I was talking about. It also said the Utility/Beverage Pocket top dimension was 4.5” which the attached photo with measuring tape disproves (unless a correction to that has been made since my last purchase). I am very disappointed since these were my favorite shorts. Also, the chat button did not take me to a chat.
